Valet driver spends months painstakingly earning feral feline’s trust until she decides it is time to come home with him to join his fur family with 3 cat child siblings, cat dad says: ‘She's my girl for the rest of her life now’

Not many cat lovers would dare go after the affection of a feral feline, we simply know better. But this story's cat dad simply could not help himself and with a lot of patience managed to convert the feral feline into a cuddly cat child.

Reddit's r/Feral_Cats subreddit is a place filled with failed stories of hoomans who so desperately wanted to save a stray cat's life but simply could not handle the madness and chaos that can come with feral life. Even endless patience is not enough to ensure that you will have a loving and lasting relationship with the cat in question.

Meaning that much like the pawrent of this success story, so too did other pawrents have to come prepawed for the long haul and that there is a good chance failure will be the outcome. Yet, despite these odds being stacked against him he came out victorious, adding four more paws to his family of three cat children. What a wonderful win for cat-kind, for pawrents everywhere and for the feral felines searching fur their furever homes.

The struggle is real and this guy is going through it. There is something so innocent, so sweet about those cautious looks that they give us from far away places. But it is magnetic enough to keep us coming back for more, in the distant and sometimes laughable hope that one day this cat will trust us enough to put down the pretense and just be a cute cuddly cat with us. But the road to that goal is full of many pitfalls and much like in snakes and ladders you can often find yourself falling back a few steps just as you thought you were getting close to your happy ending. The only question is how dedicated this hooman is willing to be, how much patience does he actually have?

Holy moly that is quite the ending to such a heartwarming story. In many cases of feral felines being tamed the best outcome the pawrent achieves is a steely indoor-outdoor relationship with their feral feline. One which is somewhat rewarding, but ultimately does not fulfil one’s emotional desires. But in a case of true luck and divine feline intervention this pawrent has put his patience in the right cat child and so gained a surprising and sweet addition to his fur family that comes with one heck of a story. We hope they went on to have the happiest of lives together.
