I bet you didn't know this, but young kittens are not often protected by the Humane Society. More trouble than they're worth, oftentimes, these kitties will be re-abandoned even when their rescuers insist on adopting them out. That's why cat rescuers are so important! Cat communities everywhere have banded together online to form to-do lists and how-to journals on how to take care of kittens because oftentimes, there's no pawfessional to step in when you need them. Cats need us more than we can imagine!
This helpless kitten was luckily taken under the wing of a kindhearted person, but later realized that they were not only being saved from the streets, but the shelter. After a boatload of Benadryl and a long-endured flare-up of allergies, this human pushed through the discomfort knowing that their efforts would result in a good life for a kitten. One day, this cat will remember their hero fondly, as they curl up in the warm sunshine of their favorite windowsill.
Although the rescuer couldn't keep the kitten themselves, they will always be the kind hooman who pulled over on the side of the highway that night, risked their life, and dug around the weeds in the dark for an hour to save the life of a creature that triggered their anaphylaxis. Now that's true heroism…
