You're excited from the second you plan it, but once you see your pet's face while you're packing, and you can just tell they know exactly what is happening… Well, I guess the only trip I'm going on now is a guilt trip! So, how about for this year's vacation, you pick a pet-friendly option? That way, you can enjoy your time off even more because it's with your best fur friend! 

If your pet doesn't like to fly, opt for somewhere that's driving distance. Rent a place that is pet-friendly. Choose a more outdoorsy excursion than a human-only activity place. Like, why go to Vegas to gamble when you can go to the beach and catch a wave with your four-legged swimming buddy?

  • I am so excited to go on vacation. I recently lost my pet mice, so I really need to get away. That being said, I'll still always be thinking about them. I will also be thinking about my partner's cats back home. They are indoor cats and hate to go anywhere. Believe me, it's like WWE trying to get them into a carrier for the vet. We've even let the front door open by accident before, and they have no interest. I WISH they could come to the beach or camping with us, but alas, they would hate it. But wouldn't that be cute? And having them there with us would make the vacation so much better. Le sigh.

  • Luckily, my parents refuse to vacation anywhere without their dog. A huge Pyrenees/Pit Bull mix who is big, goofy, and loving. So when I meet up with them to crash their vacation for a few days, I get to enjoy the reprieve with my family cow, I mean dog. But he does look like a cow… But that is the best! We run on the beach together, cuddle after spending all day in the sun, and it's fantastic. I highly recommend vacationing with your pets.
