Landlord sees tenant's boyfriend visit 2-3 nights a week, demands he be added to the tenancy: 'He literally has his own apartment'

• A woman who had been renting her home for six months faced an unpleasant surprise when her landlord got in contact with her about the guest policy. Her boyfriend, who lived elsewhere, had been coming to stay a couple of times a week, and the landlord had found out because of her Ring doorbell.

  Sending her screenshots from the doorbell, he insisted that guests were not allowed more than 14 days in the year and that he would have to be added to the tenancy agreement. On top of that, he wanted to raise the rent, leaving her wondering if what he was doing was even something that he was allowed to do.
