Some doggo rescue stories start in the most heartbreaking ways, and this one is no different. Our dumped yorkie doggo was found tied to a pole, with nothing and no one around, just the freezing temperature and a parked car to keep her company.

Reddit's r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit is an amazing place to let off a little steam if you have too much to deal with. The stories that fill its pages are lousy with tales of, well, mildly infuriating things that have happened to people and this story is most certainly one of them. Though we would have to say that if this story were told by the doggo in question then there is a good chance that it would have found itself in the r/completelyfuming subreddit. Alas, dogs do not have thumbs and hoomans haven't invented doggo digital devices yet, so here we are with the hooman account of what happened.

Our rescuer had fallen on tough times and was sleeping in their car. This night they chose a quiet spot where they thought they would not be hassled or bothered for their sleeping choices and get a good night's shut eye. However, this was the very same spot that some wretched soul decided would be the pawfect place to ditch their pup. Tied off to a pole left to shiver through the painful cold of the night. But upon hearing the commotion this hooman peeked out of their car camper and came to find the sweet doggo soul who had been left to freeze. They immediately took pity on the poor creature and set about making sure the dog had everything it needed to feel safe and secure. Even if they were going to live in a car together, this rescuer was set on making it the best car a doggo could possibly live in.

Which makes the backlash they received truly unwarranted. After all, they just wanted to do right by the canine that had come into their lives and under the circumstances we would say they most certainly did. This story serves as a reminder to reserve judgement, take time to understand people and give credit to those who do the hard work of actually helping a doggo rather than just talking about it.

Wow, can we just take a moment to absorb what has happened here. Someone has been mean enough to dump their dog with no hope of the pupper ever returning home by tying them to a pole. How hopeless and heartbreaking that must have felt for the poor pupper. A pupper who it seems was living a lavish and luxurious lifestyle if it was willing to pass on the option of having dog food because it was holding out for a fancy piece of chicken. It is as though this doggo is a disgraced princess ejected from her throne and her rescuer is the shabby traveller with no specific home. Together they shall journey to her castle and take back her throne.

Look, we get it, it is not nice being needled and poke when you are the one who has been doing the act of kindness. But at the same time that is a product of people in society being led to believe that living in one’s car implicitly means you are a non-functional member of society. A complete misconception, and one that should have been instantly shattered the moment someone spent the time reading this hooman’s story. They have gone all out for this sweet pupper, and it is all the more generous and impressive they have done so in the case that they are financially challenged.
