2.5 weeks without computer access already

Only person in my company having this issue currently... My computer kicked me out of all shared drives 2.5 weeks ago today... then my email, then my whole MS office suite...
  • 03
Asks IT what's going on... tell me "restart the computer and see" Then my whole account and login doesn't exist...
  • 04
They reactivate it, it kicks me out again, and again, and again... finally it worked for 3-4 hours... spent that time building an entire spreadsheet... kicks me out so I couldn't save the work...
  • 05
Now IT tries to make a whole new computer profile for me... a week since goes by, I still have access to nothing, and can't even use Microsoft office or email...
  • 06
At least 10 people within my organization have emailed my boss asking if I've quit the company so far...
  • 07
I have to close out an entire accounting month in a few days, and I can't even login to a computer...
  • 08
And not a single person has a clue how to solve the issue. I've been using someone else's login for emergency work, but HR
  • 09
is now saying I am not allowed to do that. What a clown show.

SpeakerReasonable610 OP Yup. Currently sitting in the office fiddling my thumbs... it'll be a sh show next week when people are asking for month end close numbers and I have nothing to send them... actually will
  • 13
be a disaster because nobody else here can cover the deliverables I make or understands how to do it... $150bn market cap company btw
  • 14
bwill1200 This is a "same day fix / new PC" issue, not weeks of dealing with it, if your boss isn't screaming at the Help Desk then something odd is going on.
  • 15
SpeakerReasonable610 OP I agree... And every 2-3 hours or so, they're telling me to try something else. And nothing has changed...
  • 16
And yeah it is very suspect. I don't like it... When I started here originally, the first day I was given a laptop with everything good to go by 2pm.

brainstormer77 This sounds a lot like some IT person messed up and deleted your account, then is trying to recover it.
  • 18
ChefCurry Yum Yum Hmm... that's not normal. HR codes the position and then IT has systems that pull from what is coded to give you all your account s

If they haven't fixed it in this amount of time either you are fired or they are really, really incompetent. Have you been getting paid?
  • 20
SpeakerReasonable610 Yeah getting paid as usual. As per being fired. I'm not sure that's happening. It's definitely odd... however I'm responsible for way too much work at the
  • 21
moment and I don't really think I'm a fireable person... I'm not high level but I'm taking on the work load of 2 people who quit last year and weren't replaced... if I was fired my group would be down to 3 people + managing director....
  • 22
Also they seem to have been trying to resolve it to no avail, they keep making new user logins for me and asking for my passwords and can't seem to get it... if I was gonna be fired I'd imagine they'd have done it already not a week before 2 people are on vacation and I'm the only one holding down the fort. It would be a really bad time for them to can me
  • 23
Apparently the issue stemmed from 1. they transferred me to a cloud based platform from what I was previously on 2. they forgot to renew my account and it expired and they reactivated it and set it to be active for 12 months more, but it's

kicking me out every time they do it after some hours.. 3. they can't figure out how to install office into my new login.
