• Summer is here and it is quite impossible to ignore. There is no need to check the weather, no need to ask how hot it is outside. Summer is, most definitely, here. And yes it is beautiful. Summer means outdoor activities, it means picnics with your friends, light clothes, long nights, fun days. But there comes an extent in which us humans can't be functional with such high temperatures. Because right now, it feels like the sun is burning right in front of our faces. There is no possible way we can function, I'm sorry. Petition to make it a national, non-workable day, when the weather tops 90 degrees. There is no appropriate outfit one could use for work, or even to the streets. Because actually, you will not be seeing me in the streets until this heatwave is over. There is only so much a person can take, and I am not God's strongest soldier. The air conditioner will be ON until further notice.

• There is something very humbling about these heatwaves. Life goes on normally, but there I am, dripping in sweat unable to control my hormones. There is absolutely no point in doing my hair. Trust me don't even try. Humidity will take over the minute you step your foot outside. No Dyson dryer, no hairspray or fancy blowout will be able to stop your hair from looking like you just got casted for the Troll's movie. And for the long hair people, you can always do a gel bun, if you manage to keep it from melting over your hair.
