Hey guys! I'm in an airbnb with my partner and a friend to make the short- film that said friend produced, she's a cinema student and this will be her thesis! Well, there's a kitty cat here! She's the sweetest little girl, a little skiddish but super cuddly and talkative. We talked with the owners of the house, because the kibble they left

her is at it's end and we wanted to make sure she's well fed while we're here, and we discovered that she's a lost kitty and they're looking for someone to adopt her. Nobody here can actually adopt her (I already have two cats and live with my dad still), but it breaks my heart that she's lost and I wanted to do something about it, |

thought about bringing her home somehow, I haven't thought of the specifics, honestly, I just wanted to do something and I'm sure I could find someone to adopt her or at least find an institution that could take care of her. But the thing is, we didn't have any idea that there would be a cat here so

we have nothing to carry her, the car is full, and I mean FULL because of all the equipment, cenography and all, plus it's a three hour long trip. As I said, she's a sweetheart but a little skittish, and I'm sure she would freak out during the trip, adding the fact that we don't have a carrier nor a litter for her. I don't

know, I'm really sensitive with pets and it just breaks my heart that she's out here, the house is really isolated and I wish I could do something :/.

UPDATE GUYS! My partner will take the cat. Some answers for you guys, before explaining the OTHER complicated situation we've put ourselves in for this little princess hehe. We're from São Paulo Brazil, but we're currently on the rural side, and our airbnb is 40 minutes away from the nearest city, that's why

the pet shop thing was a difficult possibility (its an 11km dirt-road from here to the center of the city). My partner is currently in the process of renovating his apartment and it'll still take about 6ish months, so they would need to find somewhere to keep her temporarily (the options are 1. his

house, but this would need to take some dad-convincing), we are still looking for our options because my partner JUST decided this lol. We woill go to the city on Thursday to buy the carrier and food so we can go on Friday. The airbnb owners don't really care about her, they said she lives "around" and that "sometimes" people feed her. Thanks everyone for the comments! It's de UCDS again!

Dependent_North_762 If you can afford to, grab a carrier from the pet store and set her on your lap for the car ride. She won't need a litter box for three hours. Once you're home, place her in your bathroom with a cardboard box full of litter or newspaper for now.

markl7827 We've got 6 cats, it never ends, ok 2 hate each other but they have places to go and rarely cross paths.

Jamachicuanistinday Take her with you. She was meant to be yours, You won't regret it. She'll be so happy living with a new loving family.

Acrobatic_Season 6838 why does the CDS never distribute to me?
  • 17
Peplum Are the airbnb owners still willing to take care of her? If she's comfy, fed, and safe until they find a good home for her it might be best to let them keep on. I wouldn't uproot her unless you can guarantee her the smoothest possible transition into a forever home. I totally get you though.

Anytime I go to a country with well cared for street animals I always manage an uncanny bond with at least one and I think about them forever.

ChickenEmotional7921 Seems like the Airbnb hosts are responsible for her. Good on you for checking the food supply, but I don't know that putting kitty through the stress of that drive then not being able to provide a home is in its best interest. Maybe just post info about the cat to your socials and connect them with the Airbnb hosts.

Wailing Tulip Buy a bag of kibble and some toys to leave there. This is not the CDS, this is your opportunity to help a cat in need while they search for their person.

AndresWhut Whats one more cat! She chose you!

scooter_orourke You need to honor and respect the cat distribution system
  • 23
UpbeatEquipment8832 Is she living in the AirBnB? How frequently is it visited? If the owners are clever enough, I suspect she'll find a home with another guest soon enough, if you can't take her.

bakedlayz She's so cute!!!!!!! Maybe you can reach out to rescue or fosters in the city you're in

_Fuzzgoddess_ Feed and love the cat while you're there, but leave her if you can't give her a better life, she looks taken care of.

LNOTGYAVSSEAL Where is this? I wouldn't mind another kitty cat if you were unable to take them
