It can feel unreal how the universe can put two purrfect souls together.

And just like that, an orange kitten had a warm and loving home. It's not everyday you read about a dog adopting a cat and taking care of him, but in Reddit's r/BeAmazed, that's exactly what happens. There's an abandoned and orphaned young orange kitten who needs a home, and instead of kind people adopting him, it's actually a dog who makes the decision to take him home. The two are inseparable from the beginning. The dog, Megan, has a "roommate" dog named Grizzly. When Kona, the orange kitten, comes home to Megan and Grizzly's place, Grizzly is so excited that he can't stop jumping around. In the video below, there's so much evidence at how connected these two souls are. Megan can't stop cleaning Kona out of love, and Kona has a perpetual Mohawk from all the licking. They're always snuggling and playing together. It's incredible to see that two unlikely species can become such close friends and companions overnight. There’s something so heartwarming about seeing a dog adopt a kitten. On paper, they’re different animals with different instincts, different ways of communicating, and very different personalities. But when a dog decides that a tiny kitten is now part of the family, those differences seem to disappear in the sweetest way possible. Curiosity here is what ends up saving the cat, and it's clear these two have a deep soul connection. The kitten is so nascent in the world, so scared and unaware of what's happening. He doesn't even understand yet that he's an orphan, but the dog knows, and the dog is ready to take her in no matter what. It's a question of where they even found each other. It's also just surprising that a dog is capable of taking care of something to this extent. It makes you wonder about her life, and if she was a mother before.

This kitten is the most precious thing. If I were an owner, this is exactly the type of pet situation I'd want. Dogs and a cat, and it helps immensely that the dog can take care of the cat. It's not your everyday story, it's exceptional.
