Look outside. Chaos. Looks inside. Feel-good cat memes for peace and purrs. The choice is pretty obvious.

Listen, it's not that I support becoming a hermit. It's just that sometimes, you have to prioritize your mental health. For me, it means that some Fridays are not meant for going out, for clubbing, for being… a people person. Some Fridays are better spent at home, cuddled up with my cat and scrolling through feel-good content online. Which is also not easy lately. I feel like every time I get on social media, I'm playing a slot machine. I want to see cute cat pictures and memes and uplifting stories, but instead, more often than not, I get chaos, corruption and HOTG spoilers. No, thanks. It's Friday. And I just want something pawsitive to start the day with.

Working at ICHC helps. It means that throughout the week, I get to feed my social media addiction in a purposeful way. I scroll through social media, see all bad stuff, but I'm doing it in search of the good stuff. The wholesome cat stories. The silly cat memes. I doomscroll with a purpose, and then, I get to share the final product with you guys. I get to save you from the chaos and let you in on my little moments of joy, peace and purrs.

It means that on Friday morning, you - and I - get to sit here and open this collection of cat goodness that I put together throughout the week, and we get to smile at it together. Worlds apart, but facing the same challenges, the same chaos, and trying to have the same chill Friday. I'm going to be smiling in two seconds. I put this list together. I know what's coming. Smiles are coming. And if I get to make you smile with this too… that's the biggest win of all.

Good solution. Truly, a solution with potential. It might work purrfectly. Or this kitty might be like most of them, and instead of catching rats, it will be lying in a sunspot, soaking up the rays and chilling all throughout the day.
