A 19-year-old moved away for college for a year, and when she came home for the summer, she was confronted with the fact that her mom had turned her room into the bedroom of her fiancé's 17-year-old daughter without telling her. When she questioned this decision, her mom insisted that she didn't need the space any more, as she was at college.
This gesture upset her, leaving her feeling like she no longer had a home. As a result, she did not feel like she wanted to go to her mother's upcoming wedding. Many of her family members thought she was being dramatic, but she felt justified in her decision.
