[delet... Treat the issue at the source! Groom the dog. Brush him daily or every other day. I have been bathing my dogs with gentle dog shampoo, dog conditioner, and blow drying them afterwards about every 2 weeks for several years with no ill effects or skin dryness. It really cuts down on the dander and loose hair in the house.

chy 7784 A Shark robot vacuum saved my life. Got it last year on Black Friday and it was marked down pretty well. Shark over Roomba because I read that Roombas tend to choke on longer dog hair and I have a shepherd.

Katie_Clear I have unashamedly taken advantage of the empty space while moving to use the leaf blower to get rid of all the hair all at once with near zero effort.

IckySweet Celebrating Corgi I have one magic thing to suggest I haven't seen posted here. Your dogs bed, blanket or throw to cover furniture.....in your dryer on high for about 20 mins with a bounce dryer sheet...all the hair comes off in the lint screen. It's magic! :) couch pillow covers, throw rugs..anything covered with hair(except the dog lol) in the dryer :P

ottawanovice I have mostly hardwood floors and I got an electrostatic broom on Amazon. Fairly cheap but picks up hair quickly and gets it in one sweep. I sweep once a day but only takes few minutes. And I Don't let my lab on the bed!

jenn1d We have 2 goldens who take turns shedding and my Dyson stick has been amazing for daily vacuuming. I also have a shark navigator for weekly and try to brush the pups daily. My house will be n ever be spotless but I'm cool with it.

Bamagirly The cheapest solution is to get a swiffer wet mop. Walmart even makes their own store brand of the refills. The swiffer can twist and turn and get into every crevice. It's amazing for the cost! I use both sides of the cloth and if it gets dry I wet it again and keep using it. Has been a life saver for me with a huge Labrador.

CowardlyAnaconda For laminate/hardwood floors, a rubber broom is magic. It also works on carpet with a little elbow grease.

Ok-Tangelo3151 I use Bissell Swivel Pet vacuum 3 x Week and mop 1-2 times a week. I use Bona Dust Mop head after mopping. Gave up on sweeping lol. I feel like I have the hair situation under control (I have 2 dogs).

Separate Shoe_6916 You can duct tape a large tooth comb (from the dollar store) to a dust pan. The comb will grab the hair from the broom, so that you can avoid the tumbling mess.

[deleted] weekly brushings outside or in the bathroom (where it can be swept up or blown away/picked up by birds for nesting material) will go a very long way to help with this. It wont completely eliminate the problem but it will help a good bit.

[deleted] Regularly wash my dog and dry her with a high velocity dryer ce She has skin issues so it isn't an option. Then I have a robot vacuum that runs once or twice a day. I also have an air purifier (it helps with dander and dog smell - for me, again, doggy has skin issues so she is a bit smellier sometimes). Brush daily.
