Someone is flying in business class for the first time and is afraid there could be unspoken rules they're unaware of that could cause awkward situations: ‘What are the unspoken rules that I should be aware of?’

Recently, I discovered that some passengers book flights that not only have the perks that we know business class has, but they even have a bed, a shower, and a bar, as if you were in a hotel instead of a plane. It made me think about how much some people are spending on this kind of flight. Do they consider traveling to a destination a part of the fun of the trip? Is that why they spend so much on it? Or is it about maintaining some kind of status? I don’t really know, but the thread below made me realize that those kinds of tickets are tied to expectations and etiquette.

When you get a flight ticket that is more than economy class, you need to act differently, according to popular belief. You need to be more silent, take advantage of the perks, such as a flight attendant bringing you anything you like, and other crazy things. According to others, you need to look badly at the people entering the plane after you, or you need to complain about the other passengers. All that is just showing us that, to most people, paying more for a different class ticket has to do with a personality trait, and not a good one.

I don’t care what plane ticket you buy. That is up to you and your finances. But maybe don’t act as people expect you to. In the end, having more expensive travel doesn’t mean you are better than anybody else. Everyone on that plane is going to the same place. It doesn’t matter how much they paid for the ride.
