'My dad is not a cat person. But he won't leave anyone behind': Loving father and self-proclaimed "not a cat person" saves weak kitten from the side of the road while walking the dog, internet commends him a hero

Good dads are not so easy to come by. When you find one, don't let him go. 

Dads aren't notorious for being involved, or overbearing, or necessarily emotional. But sometimes you find that rare father who wants to help, wants to talk, and who has the emotional capacity of anyone else. When it comes to saving animals, this instinct might kick in, just like it did in the story here below. This man does not like cats. He's not a cat person, and only tolerates his wife's cats. He was out walking the dog one day and found this little weak baby kitten on the sidewalk. She really was weak, and she didn't even move when they walked over to her. He didn't let his preconceived notions about cats or his opinion of them get in the way of right and wrong though. He doesn't leave anyone behind, no matter if they're cat, woman, child, dog, or pig. He scooped her up and took the little baby home. 

The family is still deciding what to do with her, if they'll keep her or try to find a foster. But at least we know she's off the streets and in a better place, which is all we can ask for abandoned street cats. When you find a kitten in trouble, the best thing you can do it just take it home because you could be saving a life. They're also going to take her to the vet and check for a chip. Right now, they've given her water and soft wet food and are trying not to overwhelm her. Read the full story below, and remember that everyone is capable of good, even if they're not a cat person.

  • Even though he's not a cat person, he did the right thing. I just don't understand how someone could not be a cat person. My theory is that they just haven't met the right cat. Once you meet a good kitty, things will change. I don't believe in types, and I don't believe in cat people or dog people. Animals are animals, and we are animals. So just pet a dog, pet a cat, and let's all move on with our lives.
