After a couple finally decided they finally had room to foster, a tiny kitten showed up on their porch at the perfect time

This little kitten wasn't about to wait for an application to be approved.

Just as one cat lover started thinking about fostering kittens, the Cat Distribution System made the decision a whole lot easier. Before they even had the chance to bring it up with their partner, a tiny stray appeared on the porch, curled up beside their two resident cats as if he'd already decided he belonged there.

The little visitor had clearly been through a lot. His fur was full of burrs, twigs, spider webs, fleas, ticks, and all the evidence of life outside. He was heartbreakingly skinny, but from the moment he was found, he never stopped wanting attention. With every meal, every nap on a warm heating pad, and every gentle cuddle, he seemed a little more comfortable than the day before.

After finally making it to the vet, the news was encouraging. Aside from a few common issues that come with living on the streets, the tiny kitten was expected to recover well. Even though he was much smaller than he should have been for his age, he had a healthy appetite, an even healthier purr, and all the signs of a kitten ready to leave his rough start behind.

He still doesn't have a name, but he already has plenty of people rooting for him. It's hard not to smile at the timing of it all. After spending days wondering whether fostering was the right next step, this little guy showed up on the porch and answered the question himself. Whether he ends up becoming a forever family member or the first of many foster kittens, one thing is certain: he picked exactly the right house to ask for help.

We don't think it took this little guy very long to settle in. Finding him snoozing beside the resident cats says just about everything. He already looks comfortable, relaxed, and completely convinced he belongs there. After spending who knows how long outside, it's nice to see him stretched out somewhere safe, getting the chance to just be a kitten instead of worrying about where he'd sleep next.

The Cat Distribution System has some incredible timing. After spending two days thinking about fostering, this tiny guy showed up before the conversation even happened. It's almost like he knew there was finally room for one more kitten. If the CDS was trying to make the decision a little easier, it did a pretty convincing job with this little porch visitor.

Congratulations, you two. The Cat Distribution System has officially assigned you a brand-new feline overlord. Your days of making decisions for yourselves are over. From now on, your schedule revolves around kitten naps, surprise zoomies, and answering to the tiniest boss in the house. We'd say the new management team is already off to a pretty adorable start.
