New York Woman Demands First Date Order an Uber to Pick Her Up, Sparks Debate When He Refuses

How much should you expect from a first date?

Let's be real, nobody likes feeling as if they are unwanted or simply a placeholder for whatever another person desires, but that is exactly how things often go in the rocky world of dating. Most serial daters have stories of meeting up with somebody who looked nothing like their pictures, treated them badly, or acted like it was their first day on Earth (sometimes, it's all three at once!).

As a result, it is understandable that some of those in the dating world have high expectations of anyone who is trying to spend some time with them. They want to filter out the time wasters and ensure that they are dealing with only those who live up to their standards, or are at least trying to.

Not every dateable person is going to tick every box, however, and some would argue that having a selection criteria that is too stringent is going to prevent decent relationship opportunities. You don't get if you don't ask, but it does pay to think twice before asking now and then. No dating strategy in the world can 100% promise a great relationship at the end of it, no matter what rules that somebody chooses to follow.
