28 Pawfessional Felines Who’ve Purrfected the Art of Doing as Little as Possible and Still Getting Paid

It is the dream in this life, to earn a whole bunch of money while doing little to nothing to actually earn it. Heck, it is basically the American dream that has been lost to time. But we are happy to say that the dream is not totally lost, as these clever cattos have managed to pull off just that dream of doing as little as possible and suffice it to say it is impressive.

We work so hard each and every day to provide for our cat children. It is a never ending rat race, and not just because of the rising cost of everything, but also the rising expectations of our feline fur babies who are never quite satisfied with the current quality of life that they enjoy and are always looking for the next best thing to bump up their standards of living. And while that pressure is immense, our cute cats have also left us a handy little guide in the form of this funny list of felines to help us figure out how to make that all important cheddar without giving away too much of ourselves.

Amongst the many examples of crafty cat children who have managed to scale the corporate ladder and land jobs with all the pay check and none of the responsibility we have the pawlitics pawfessor who took his love of singing the songs of his people to the classroom to regale the youth, we have the cat who was tasked with stopping a train from moving by an unknown wealthy benefactor and achieved his goal simply by sitting on said train, and of course we have the dopey detective cat who hired himself to figure out who it was that knocked over the family television. Spoiler alert, he did it.

But that is no fault of the cats, we put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the hoomans who hired them. First off they were hired for the wrong pawsition. Delivery is simply not in the nature of feline kind. They are much more about guarding if anything else, and guarding mail specifically is the purrfect thing for them as it is just petty enough to fulfil their sassy urges while still maintaining concentration on the job at hand. So we vote that cat mail guards come back in 2026 and keep all our precious packages safe from the thieves that dare approach them.

This is what we mean about the genius of feline kind. This therapist has likely got no qualifications, no overheads thanks to the crafty cardboard box style office he has set up in and is still charging a cool nickel for the pleasure of his practice. Now that is what we call smart business. We could all take a leaf out of this fastidious feline’s book. Though that being said any hooman operating any kind of business out of a cardboard box is just not a good look. So maybe take this cat’s example with a big old pinch of salt so that you do not end up looking deranged.
