‘It’s laundry day’: Laundry memes for responsible people washing, drying, and folding their clean clothes

Are you also waiting for the weekend to relax, and BAM! The laundry basket is full? 

We've all been there once or twice. We work all week, we are responsible adults, we do what we have to do, and we're expecting the two days off we have to do absolutely nothing. But just when we are preparing to keep sleeping until our eyelids get sore, the memory jumps into our minds: we have no clean clothes. 

We could pretend like we didn't hear that thought creeping into our heads, but we know the consequences. If we don't do our laundry, on Monday we will be commuting to work in our pajamas and the robe our grandmas gave us for our birthday. We love casual Fridays, but empty-closet Mondays do not have the same cool and relaxed vibe. 

Seeing the pile of clothes get higher and higher makes us want to develop a sudden case of memory loss and sight loss so we are not constantly reminded of the fact that our washing machine is sitting there judging us for procrastinating. The thing is, we keep procrastinating nonetheless. The pile grows and grows, and by the time we muster the courage to put everything in the washer, we have the temptation of turning three loads into a single one to finish faster. No wonder our appliances don't last; we keep asking them to do too much for us. 

The mere thought of putting everything in the laundry machine, then the dryer, and then spending hours folding and putting everything away is enough for us to want to move to the Arctic. Not that anything will be easier there, but at least we would escape our present obligations. 

Sadly, it is not possible to escape. What we can do is make the laundry process a little bit more interesting! We can blast some music while we fold the sheets, and dance to the sound the washing machine makes. It may be boring now, but we sure will be grateful to ourselves when we have some clean clothes on Monday morning. In the meantime, this basket full of memes will keep us company!
