The passing of a pet is a difficult time for any pawrent. But the time it takes us to recover and find a new pet to pour our soul into varies greatly. Some pawrents never recover, and others, like the pawrent in this story find themselves with new pets mere moments into their recovery journey.

Now, losing a dog and gaining a family of kittens is not quite a one to one trade. But when you are gifted something so special, so sweet and so uplifting, it does not matter whether it solely fills or completely overfills the hole in your heart. The point is that it get filled and that you begin to feel better about life. Which is certainly what happened to our feline rescuer u/AikaterineSH1. Her quick action and bravery is what got these felines to the safety of her home and prepawed them for a life of love.

Had she not been willing to step up, while also stepping back from her grief then it is hard to say what might have happened to these poor felines. As the title mentions, when she found them she actually saved them from an invading tom cat. A situation that could have ended very badly for all involved. But most of all this story is about how love is much like an energy. It cannot be created or destroyed, it is recycled, and just because you might have lost a love, it does not mean that energy will not come back to you one day.

Well, that is quite a lot to take in all at once. This must have been such an overwhelming time for this pawrent. To go from losing a doggo to almost instantly having a family of felines on your hands is quite the turn around. Most people would not even spare a thought about what next? When do I start looking for another pet? But it seems that the CDS or whatever powers that be decided there was to be no waiting for this pawrent and the replacement was sent ASAP.

Aww, this is just so sweet. You would think that a pet loving person who had just lost a pupper would not even be emotionally available to care for a new pet at this point. But here this heartwarming hooman is, giving the same love and dedication she had been giving to her pupper to these cute cats. Giving them a life of safety and luxury that they could not have dreamed of living as strays. It just goes to show that living with an open heart is more helpful than you might know it to be.
