Skincare is an expensive hobby, but oh, how we love to treat ourselves!

Skincare products are becoming a necessity instead of a luxury. We can't leave the house without putting on sunscreen; we need to exfoliate at least once a week, and we do our skincare routine every night to moisturize and hydrate our faces. All of that is to make sure it doesn't get all dry and uncomfortable. Because yes, dry skin feels uncomfortable. 

Skincare is a fundamental part of our self-care. We take care of it at home, but once in a while we also book a facial, a more specialized treatment, or an appointment with our dermatologist to tell us what our skin needs and how to take care of it. The thing bout all this is that it doesn't feel like a chore. It's something we do gladly and willingly. Going to the doctor is a bit of a nuisance, but going to the dermatologist means a new set of skincare products that we get to try! Because that's another detail: our skin doesn't always stay the same, and we can't use the same type of treatment forever. 

When we're younger, our skin tends to be a bit more oily, so we need more cleaning; when we're older, our skin goes dryer, so we need a more intense moisturizing routine. Everything depends on the stage of life we're in and our individual needs. One thing remains the same for everyone, though: the need to put on sunscreen. 

We all love the sun; that's a given. But the sun doesn't necessarily love us. It is too bright and too strong for our delicate complexions. Even more so during the summer months, and if we're not careful, our skin can end up all burnt and red. It's not the best look, but the worst part is that it can hurt. Young and old people alike are exposed to the sun in this heatwave that doesn't seem to be going away any time soon. So yes, we all need protection from it. In twenty years, we'll be grateful to our past selves for making sure to apply sunscreen before leaving the house. But for now, we just love to keep taking good care of our skin every day, and these memes understand that perfectly.
