Confident Cats Admiring Their Reflections to Remind Hoomans to Look at Themselves With a Little More Love

Cats don't need another confidence boost, but putting a mirror in front of them certainly isn't going to help.

One glance at that reflection and suddenly there's a very important feline staring back. Look at those whiskers. Look at that fluff. Look at those perfectly pointed ears. Hoomans spend half their lives telling their cats how beautiful they are, so it was only a matter of time before the kitties checked out the evidence themselves.

A mirror can easily become a personal vanity station. There's always time to stop, stare, and appreciate the gorgeous face looking back. Maybe turn to the side and check the profile. Sit up a little taller. Give the tail a quick flick for dramatic effect. When you're naturally this photogenic, admiring the view is practically part of the daily schedule.

The reflection does raise a few questions. Who is this suspiciously handsome stranger, and why are they copying every move? A paw against the glass gets another paw in return. Move closer and the mystery cat does too. Looking behind the mirror seems like the logical next step, because that copycat has to be hiding somewhere.

Things can get even more dramatic when the reflection is treated like an intruder. Imagine minding your own business and suddenly spotting another cat in your house with the audacity to look exactly like you. That calls for some serious staring, a few warning meows, and possibly a paw or two thrown at the glass.

Whether the mirror becomes a vanity, a mystery, or the scene of some feline beef, it's hard to walk away from a face that cute.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, these cats already know they're the fairest felines of them all.

Having the vanity light on while checking yourself out in the mirror is an absolute must. This cat knows good lighting can make all the difference when you’re admiring the fluff, checking the whiskers, and making sure every hair is sitting exactly where it should. A regular mirror simply wouldn’t cut it for a feline this fabulous. Flip on those lights, strike a pose, and take your time, kitty. Looking this good deserves the full getting-ready treatment.
