There is no shortage of mystery shows airing on TV, but none of them are quite the same as Columbo. TV detectives of the mid-to-late 20th century were not particularly gritty, and that's what I like about them! When watching Columbo or Murder She Wrote, you don't have to sit with the horror of one of the characters losing their life for too long. You're much more invested in the more whimsical "whodunnit," which makes the viewing experience fun instead of depressing. I would choose Columbo over a true crime show any day of the week, and if you feel the same way, then these Columbo memes are just one more thing for you to enjoy tonight.

    Even contemporaries of Columbus regarded him as a pretty bad dude. Columbo, on the other hand, is beloved by most people...except Mrs. Peck, Vivian Dimitri, Dr. Mayfield, Paul Hanlon, Mr. Rowe...and maybe some others as well
