Let's get the obvious right out of the way: leaving anyone, and I mean anyone, in a car during summer is way past 'not okay' 

Not okay is leaving someone on read. Not okay is not doing that thing you told your partner you'd handle two months ago.  Leaving anyone in a hot car is much closer to 'reserved seat in eternal inferno' than to 'not okay,' whether it's a person, a parrot, or a Pomeranian. Period.

Ninety-five-degree Mississippi heat turns a vehicle into an oven within minutes. Tinted windows do not count as climate control. And a Pomeranian barking in this situation signals distress, not loneliness. He's hot, not experiencing separation anxiety.
