Couple falls in love with stray dog in Puerto Rico, they use their social media following to help fly her to Philly to start her new life

Going on vacation, the last thing you expect is to adopt a dog. 

We all vacation for different reasons. Some people want to spend as much money as possible on a nice, luxurious hotel, or an all inclusive retreat so that they don't have to lift a muscle. Some people want to eat, drink, and shop. Some people want to touch the authenticity of the area more, and feel less like a tourist and more like a local. They want to see the culture, go to museums and tours and really feel like they learned something. Some people just want a break from city life, they want nature and to go to extremes that they can't experience otherwise. And some people go with no intention of being met by the dog distribution system, but it happens anyway. 

Take this couple who went on vacation in Puero Rico. They encountered a stray dog who started following them around. She spent all day at the beach with them, but it was time to leave. They were sad to say goodbye, but felt like they had no other options. Then it happened. They decided, "she chose us and we need to save her," and they went back to the beach and found her. They wanted to take her home, but it's not easy to fly a dog abroad, but with the help of their social media followers, they were about to officially adopt the dog and take him home to Philly. They have a dog there already, and they're been diligent dog pawrents observing how their two babies interact now. The future is up, and this dog hasn't had a good life so far, but now he's ready to start a new and improved life with a furrever family. Watch the full video here.

  • Never had I been to Puerto Rico, but I've heard it's amazing. A lot of surfers like to go there because the waves are great. If I didn't know it already, I'd say this couple look like surfers because they certainly seem outdoorsy. This story is so cute, and it's wonderful they decided to go back for the doggo.
