Neglected cats are sadly not an uncommon thing to hear about. Whether it be the case of an abandoned indoor cat who cannot care for themselves properly in the wild, or the case of a house catto whose pawrents aren't giving it the care it deserves as in this story. The results are the same, a truly sad and sour catto. But lucky for the feline in the tale, the universe created an opportunity for a feline fanatic to turn this cat's life upside down.

This story comes to us thanks to the efforts of two separate redditors, u/stunclock and u/Opposite_Tomorrow733 of Washington DC. The former being the family member who stepped in when they saw that their aunt's cat had been cared for poorly and decided that it was time to relieve his ageing aunty from the responsibility of caring for herself as well as the cat, and find the senior feline a loving home that could keep up with his various changing needs as he got older. The latter redditor is the kind cat loving hooman who fulfilled all of u/stunclock's criteria when looking for a new cat pawrent and even went to the lengths of sharing an update about how the feline was settling into his new home.

It is a tale that goes to show the amount of good that can be done to a cat's life if we come together as a community. If we say it is better to share our problems than to hold their weight alone. It is testament to the good that hoomankind is capable of carrying out.

Well, this is quite the delicate situation and one that we do not often come across. The sad fact is that while this kitty might not have been in the best state they might have been the only source of happiness for their hooman during this period where they have been living an unstable life. But it seems that the universe or the Cat Distribution System decided that it was time for this feline to get the proper care that it deserved and so created this situation in which a family member who loves felines could step in and make a change in this cat’s life.
