2 years ago, we bought a farm. There were about 60 "Barn cats" around the property. We slowly got them all fixed and rehomed. Since spring we've had 6 litters born here.

4 weeks ago, we rehomed (what I thought was the last cat on the property). This morning we found this under some bushes.

We left some food near for momma and can hopefully get her fixed and these babies rehomed in a few months. We also live on a de d end road out in the country.

People are constantly dumping their animals out here. So it's a never ending thing for us. But look at this sweet babies

thecatandthependulum Are you sure that the new cats you're finding aren't just extensions of the feral colony that moved closer to shelter because the other cats left vacant territory?

40AcresOfFreedom OP Nah, I think we probably just missed an extra shy one lol We've only ever seen her on our security cameras. But NEVER with our own eyes lol

40AcresOfFreedom OP They were JUST born. I took that picture this morning. Just went and checked on them and now there are 6 instead of 4. So she came back to birth the rest lol

40AcresOfFreedom OP I think we accidentally scared her while she was having them. She's back now though

My brain read three times just to make sure you have solid confirmation the mama will be back I hope those food will keep the kittens and cat mother well

40AcresOfFreedom OP She is back! She came back and have 2 more kittens. We aren't supposed to get rain for a few days. So I'm going to just leave then alone for now. I made her a nice pallet bed with a blanket in one of our barns that I'll move her to in a few days. Want to let her bond with her babies for a few days before moving them

Yequestingadventurer They are absolutely helpless, I'd suggest moving mummy and the kitties together to the barn ASAP where you can check on them. Mumma is surviving her a off there, try and lend a hand off possible. She'll be forever grateful

40AcresOfFreedom OP Momma is extremely feral so we're just going to leave them alone for now and not stress her out by messing with her kittens. The barn is always wide open so I figured if she wanted to, she would have given birth to them in there.
