Cats really are smarter than we think. The phrase “animal instincts” aren't meaningless. We have them as humans as well, but there are so many things we can't put our fingers on in other animals. For example, I know that my cat always senses things I can't. He really has a knack for knowing who's a good person and who isn't trustworthy. It only takes them going into my apartment, and I just have to watch how my cat acts. There's nothing more beautiful than being able to use my cat as another test to the universe, and seeing him bond and understand the world in ways I can't.
