Woman sees something on the freeway, only to realize it's an injured hawk, she saves his life and safely delivers him to get proper treatment

Hawks are scary, but this woman risked herself to save his life. 

Hawks are known for being mysterious, intimidating, and predator animals. It's not every day we stumble upon one, but for this woman her day was about to turn in directions she couldn't predict. In the video below, you see her take him from the road into her car. They sit together while she explains that she's a farmer and she has lost a lot of loved pets to hawks, but she wants to save his life anyway. She calls pet rehabilitation centers to figure out the best mode of action. She's told to wrap him lightly in a towel, which she has a bunch of in her car. She wraps him and he's injured, and she's actually pretty afraid and intimidated, but she takes care of him all the same. She straps him in and takes him to an animal rehabilitation center safely. If she hadn't stopped to save him, cars would have kept passing by and he would have eventually been hit. She really risked her life, because hawks are still wild animals and dangerous creatures. The video is quite cute, and the story is inspirational. We don't have to wait for an invitation to be a good person.

  • This actually reminds me of a memory from my childhood. I was about 10 years old and camping with my family, my sister and my parents. There were some sounds like heavy breathing that we heard on a hike. Sure enough, my dad and I saw a little squirrel struggling over behind a tree. We went up to the squirrel and it looked like he had been injured by an animal bigger than him. My dad immediately scooped up the squirrel and put him in his bandana. We hurried to where we knew other people would be and asked where's the nearest cell service. We happened to be close to an area where we could contact someone to come and take the squirrel before it was too late. We called the animal rehabilitation for the area and they came promptly. Then we all felt like heroes, and rewarded ourselves with ice cream and pizza afterwards.
