The works of Tolkien truly stand the test of time.

This is proven to us over and over again by the new generations of fans that he continues to attract with every passing year. It isn't just laypeople who can appreciate his impact, either; he is so important in the canon of British writers that he is going to get his very own memorial in Westminster Abbey next year. And to think, all this has come from him thinking up The Hobbit nearly ninety years ago.
