A delicious steak dinner.

Am I the bad guy for eating my own dinner while my mates ordered pizza?
The other night, me (18M) and my best mates met up at my house to hang out. We played video games, listened to music, talked, regular boys night stuff.
Later that night, one of my mates suggested ordering pizza. Everyone liked the idea, but I told them that earlier in the day I’d cooked dinner for the lads before they arrived (just because I wanted to be hospitable) Nothing fancy: steak, rice, and grilled veggies. They all preferred pizza. I was a little disappointed that everyone rejected my cooking haha but whatever it’s cool.

The problem started when the pizza arrived. I served myself some of my dinner and sat down with everyone. One of my mates said we should all eat the same thing, and I told him I just wasn’t in the mood for pizza
He started giving me grief, saying I should relax and have a cheat day instead of bringing my “diet food” and killing the vibe. I told him he was making a big deal out of nothing, but things got heated and we ended up arguing. He eventually left early.

For context, I’ve been taking the gym and my diet more seriously over the past few months. Most of my friends have been supportive, but this particular friend has always been kind of dismissive about it. I’ve also noticed some passive aggressive comments from him since I started making noticeable progress. My mate’s a good looking lad and we both get a similar amount of attention from girls so I genuinely don’t get why he’d possibly get jealous? I can understand why he might’ve felt like I was trying to show off or imply I was “better” than him, but that genuinely wasn’t my intention. I simply wasn’t in the mood for pizza and I’d already cooked myself a perfectly good dinner so why waste it? I apologized over text a few days later, but he still hasn’t responded.

So AITA? I paid for the pizza by the way
TL;DR: I cooked dinner for my mates, but they wanted pizza instead. When it arrived, I ate the dinner I’d already made rather than having pizza, and one mate got annoyed that I was “killing the vibe” with my “diet food”. He’s been passive aggressive ever since I started dieting and working out. We argued, he left early, and he hasn’t replied since I apologised. I genuinely wasn’t trying to show off or be mean, I just preferred the food I’d already cooked
His friends treated him so badly in this story. First of all, who would turn down a home-cooked steak dinner that your friend made especially for you? I know I sure wouldn't! It's not even like his friends had dietary restrictions that he was ignoring; they just wanted pizza instead of literal steak! You could have pizza any night of the week, but steak is a special, expensive food. It goes to show that 18-year-olds really don't know anything.
Speaking of that, these teens have the worst manners I've ever read about. When I was a kid, I was always taught to accept somebody else's hospitality with grace, even if it wasn't my exact taste. If your Aunt Deborah makes some questionable grilled cheese sandwiches for you, you should never complain and say “I want something else” or “I like the way my mom cooks these better.” If a kid doesn't know that by 18, their parents have failed in one major aspect of teaching manners.
