I hate the kind of people who are always stressed, but not just someone who is completely overworked due to a job or who has to take care of way too much at home. I mean, do people love being stressed? They love to be the ones who are always saying things like "I'm so tired. I haven't stopped all day", or the ones who say, "I never get one minute for myself because everybody needs me". Of course, in some cases this may be true. But I'm not referring to those. I'm talking about the people who put all these things on their plate, fully conscious that they could be way less stressed if they just didn't offer to do more things than what they are capable of doing. There is no need for you to be living like this. You're entitled to have some free time, so don't just give it away every time someone asks for something. Learn to say no.
This story got me thinking that I know a lot of people who act like this. I get the trying to be helpful part. But this is way too much. Enjoy your free time! You don't need to be busy or doing something every single moment of your life. You can just relax. Is not a tragedy or a disaster if you just don't help. I think this has something to do with being a narcissist. Like they think that things are only perfect when they do them. I'm not saying here that they aren't. I don't care about that. I do care about letting things go bad. Don't help. If it's a disaster, then it doesn't matter. You don't have to do every single thing for it to be good. So just leave it alone. Do your own things and stop trying to get more things onto your plate, because you are going to explode. Start saying no and enjoying your free time. I can promise you that life will be a lot better once you get off the rails.
