Autumn as a kid is particularly cozy. When we're adults it sometimes feels like we can't enjoy things in the same way, like all the life experiences that piled up color everything else we experience. When we're kids, we see things through a more pure and innocent lens, and that's something that can't be taken away. As a kid, you can really see all the colors of the leaves, notice the change in the crispness of the air, and notice something different about autumn as a kid. The cooler weather didn't come with bringing a jacket or wondering if you need to bring an umbrella, it was just you experiencing the elements as they are. The freshness of the season has an innocence to it akin to childhood. The pumpkins, the feeling of change, the family holidays, it all amounts to something so innate for us. Dogs feel that too. Dogs love that childhood innocence, just look at their eyes and how they gaze at the world with innocent beauty and wonder.

You didn't need to plan anything, and you didn't have to think about even taking care of the dog.
