‘She’d been chained for years used for breeding.’: Thai husky given hope and home after being saved from flood waters rediscovers how to be happy

As much as it might not make sense in our 'civilized' view on the world, there are in fact a majority of places on this planet that still view puppers as objects. Things to make money off for the most part. Sometimes that is in the form of protection such as on a farm where livestock needs to be watched over so that farmers do not lose their income, and other times it is because pawrents make more pedigree puppies to sell on. Nonetheless, this leaves the doggos used, strung out and worst of all, severely lacking in love. Thankfully this one Husky was saved from a life like that and almost instantly found her spark once more.

As people of the city world it is hard to sit here and judge the way that country folk handle their approach to animals. To begin with the worst kind of animal encounters we city folk deal with are vermin and mosquitos, while our country counterparts are out there battling big predators and literally fending off animals with sticks, it is a whole different world. So it is not upon us to shame them for how they treat their dogs, but it is upon us to perhaps spare some help when the doggo they have under their care can no longer fulfil their expectations and is beginning to be subjected to cruel conditions.

And that is where our story begins today with a pupper used for breeding and the rising flood waters of rural Thailand. Thanks to the efforts of one incredibly caring man this doggo did not meet the watery fate she was slated to and instead got to lead a life of light and love.

Sadly, in rural parts of the world there are many different approaches to loving a doggo. Some people hold outdated views upon pupper pawrenthood and are all too comfortable letting their pup live outdoors and serve as a money maker in one sense or another. Whether it be to bring more pedigree pups into the world or to protect a farm, the outcome is the same. A doggo who does not know what love is and who is being given the bare minimum required to survive if that.

Just look at the state of this poor creature. Skin and bones, soaked through fur and a rusty chain holding her in place. At least it seems that she has not experienced any kind of violence and is allowing her rescuer to gently approach her.

Finally released from the anchor that her chain was attached to, this pup is taking her first steps towards freedom. She might not look like she has fully understood what is happening but soon she will. Though we cannot ignore the sweet boy in the backgroud, looking heartbroken that the dog he has grown up loving is being taken away from him. A reminder that showing love to a doggo takes many shapes and forms.

Goodness, no Husky should be skinny to the point that you can see their ribs like that. Their fur is meant to be incredibly thick.

And here we go, the literal freeing of this pupper from the shackles that have held her hostage for so many months. Goodness only knows why it is the case that pilers had to be used to remove this collar chain, and quite frankly it's probably for the best that we do not know why.

Well, this is quite the turn around. Not all rescued puppers bounce back this quickly, but when they do it is becuase they have fully understood that they are free and that there is nothing left to fear in life.

Just look at how playful she has become and how much happiness she is getting to share with her rescuer. It is beyond heartwarming to know that this pup is still capable of copious amounts of love like this.

We like to think that this is our resuced doggo's own way of saying thank you for her rescuer's dedication and hard work. A little token of gratitude to show him that he is doing incredible work.

We can only imagine that the doggo has learned a few jokes while learning to live the free life and she is now testing out her new material.

And with a future filled with promises of pets, treats and a life of love, Iris the Husky is full of smiles. What more can be said?
