If you're currently going through a breakup, which, apparently, lots of people are right now, then at least you can be grateful it's fall. This is the time of year when there is so much going on that can distract you. Halloween parties, pumpkin patches, haunted hayrides, spooky spectaculars, and so much more. This is when all the best shows happen too, because all of the bands are trying to get a quick tour in again before it's too cold. Touring in the winter is rough, especially for baby bands who are still borrowing their mom's minivan and crashing on friends' floors.
Anyways, I'm getting sidetracked. Let's get back to your breakup. How are you going to survive it this time? It always feels like the end of the world, and yet you pick yourself up again eventually. So don't forget that you're strong! You're going to be okay, and you will love again. However, that doesn't stop the heart from aching, so you have to distract it. Like jingling a set of keys in front of a little baby to distract them from crying. You can use relatable memes about the breakup and go enjoy the spooky season!
I am a big supporter of using humor to cope. And I am also a huge fan of spooky season. So after getting dumped while wearing a wig as a dress, I was able to keep the party going and keep the ugly cries to a minimum.

Why does every breakup feel like it's the end of the world? Like, I understood why I thought that during my first big breakup as a teenager, but why is it still like that as an adult? You'd think after all of the breakups I've been through, the process would get easier. Nope. It's always the worst feeling in the world. Perhaps it's even worse as you get older because you think you're getting closer and closer to the “one” and then BAM, it's over. Having to start over again and again is truly exhausting. There are only so many breakups I can have a glow-up after. I think this time around I'll just be sad and keep the dark humor at a high. Lots of toasters in the bathtub jokes. Crying in the office bathroom. Heck, I'll be that annoying person at the bar, trauma-dumping on the bartender. I'm done being the one that heals; that wouldn't be very spooky season of me. The scariest version of me is the unhealed, heartbroken gal who's truly given up. The memes are about to be so so good, guys. Just you wait! My glow-down is going to be epic. Perhaps this truly is the end of heartbreaks for me, because I'll be replacing that dumb heart of mine with memes! I'm about to be so skinny for Halloween!
