Fresh Cuts and Furry Fails From Felines Experiencing Serious Salon Regret

POV: You said "just a trim" and somehow came home looking like you have four furry boots and a bobblehead.

We've all had a haircut that didn't exactly match the picture we showed the stylist, but these felines might have us beat. Some walked in as majestic balls of fluff and came out looking like completely different cats. And judging by their faces, they would very much like to speak with whoever was responsible.

The lion cut is always a classic. Big fluffy head, tiny shaved body, poofy little feet, and a tail that suddenly looks like it belongs to an entirely different animal. It's hard not to laugh, especially when the cat is staring directly into the camera like they know exactly what has been done to them.

Then there are the trims that are a little harder to explain. Maybe someone got too confident with the clippers. Maybe the cat moved at the worst possible moment. Maybe there was a plan at the beginning that got completely abandoned halfway through. Whatever happened, there's photographic evidence now.

And cats are already experts at looking offended. Give one a questionable new 'do and that glare suddenly carries a lot more weight. We wouldn't be surprised if a few of these pawrents woke up to something mysteriously knocked off the counter the next morning.

Of course, some of these kitties are absolutely pulling off their new looks. They might have less fluff than they started with, but the attitude is still fully intact.

At least fur grows back. The pictures, unfortunately for these felines, are forever.

So if you've ever left the salon, looked in the mirror, and thought, "Well, I guess I'm wearing a hat for the next month," these kitties understand exactly what you're going through.

  • Imagine going in asking for just a little off the top and coming home practically bald. This poor kitty looks like the groomer heard “trim” and decided to take things several steps further. At least they left a little fluff behind on the head and paws for decoration. We’re not sure this feline will be trusting anyone with a pair of clippers again anytime soon. For now, it might be best to avoid mirrors and start counting down the days until that fur grows back.

  • Cats don’t need fancy hair products or an hour in front of the mirror to get their fur looking good. All it takes is a few well-placed licks and somehow every hair is right back where it belongs. Meanwhile, we can spend forever trying to get our own hair to cooperate and still end up throwing it into a ponytail. Maybe these kitties have had the right idea all along. Skip the expensive styling products and let a little spit do all the work.

  • Sometimes the whole pets-looking-like-their-hoomans thing gets taken a little too seriously. Sure, matching outfits can be cute, but we’re not convinced matching haircuts need to be part of the deal. This kitty looks like their pawrent brought a reference photo of their own haircut and told the groomer to make it happen. Maybe next time they can stick to matching sweaters instead. Those are a lot easier to take off when one member of the duo decides they’ve had enough.
