Everyone has a different financial reality, but we all fall into similar pitfalls. The world of capitalism is built to ensnare us in its web, and we can do our best to fight it, but it doesn't always happen like that. We love our little treats. We like to be rewarded for doing the things that we do. And sometimes that means buying an overpriced coffee that makes our day a little better. As long as we have those habits in check, it's okay to spend money that you've earned. It's okay to treat yourself. We get literally one life to live, and it's okay if you want to have a little fun on the way down. But sometimes you think something is harmless until you realize it has wreaked more havoc on your life than you thought. Like that decision to cut bangs. It may have seemed like a good idea in the moment, but not in the long run. What follows is a list of all the little things we do that might be biting us in the behind. It's okay to be human and to spend your money (sometimes on silly stuff), but these are the things to avoid if we can. Keep scrolling to read them and see what you think about them.
