Unfortunately, neighbors getting into disputes over their yards is a tale as old as modern homeownership. Some people are nosy and disagree with how their neighbors choose to keep their outdoor space, and others care so little that it starts to cause an issue for those around them. It's also not uncommon to feel like next door's maintenance (or lack of it) somehow has a negative impact on yours, leading to all kinds of rivalries and arguments that can become pretty ugly if they are not kept in check. At the end of the day, these are just random patches of grass, but they are their patches of grass. They are allowed to feel protective over it if they are given a good reason to be.
A or B: My neighbor's $3,800 robot mower kept crossing into my yard and damaged my garden. I added $95 of edging on my side, and now he wants me to pay for the repairs
Technology can be wonderful when it comes to saving time on arduous outdoor tasks, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have its downsides. This is what a pair of neighbors quickly found out when one bought an expensive robot lawnmower for his backyard.
The mower was supposed to stay within strict boundaries, but it kept straying into the neighbor's yard and damaging the pollinator garden they had invested heavily in. They knew they had to take action against it, but that also ended up providing a further headache for everyone involved.
The problem only began to escalate.
