Time Lapse Study of the Day: Gemenids Meteor Shower Over Death Valley
Back in December 2012, Gavin Heffernan of Sunchaser Pictures and his friends traveled to Death Valley, CA to watch the Geminid Meteor Shower Peak unravel. Using 25-second-long exposures on digital SLR cameras, the group compiled the images into a time-lapse video featuring some stray planets (seen at 1:15 and 2:15) and even an unidentified flying object (seen at 1:30). Hat tip to Boing Boing.
