It's natural to want to see things go a little poorly every now and again. It makes us feel like we're doing okay. I know I need a little reassurance every now and again that I'm doing the right thing and that I'm in the right place. Who feels like they've got all that stuff nailed down all of the time? I'm often in need of a little boost. A little reminder that I'm actually doing fine and some of my worries are a little bit unfounded. There is nothing wrong with zooming out sometimes and taking stock of not only the things that go wrong, but the things that go right. And sometimes stealing a little bit of joy from someone else is just what the doctor ordered. Maybe you need to see your enemy fail a little bit. I know it's not the healthiest impulse, but it's an impulse nonetheless, and it's all going to be okay. It's why we keep coming back to Fail Blog. We've been doing this for quite some time, and we have no intention of slowing down.
Have you ever seen a sign on the side of the road or in a restaurant or in a newspaper that had a typo or a misuse of a word and you immediately felt a little pep in your step? That's natural. We like to feel smart and like we have the ability to point out things that others might miss. This list is all about celebrating those moments. Those fails. That thing that went off the rails that now we can all laugh at together. Life is hard, no matter who you are or where you're coming from. It's important to stop and smell the roses when you can. Or you can just smile at the misfortune of someone else and feel a little smug about it. There is no rule against that. In fact, it is encouraged here, and we would never stop you from wanting to feel that. So keep scrolling for some more design fails that we just can't seem to wrap our heads around, no matter how hard we try.
