I feel bad when customers do this because I know they don't have anyone else in their lives to talk to about their problems. It's easy to say "they should get a therapist," but you shouldn't have to pay to have human connection when you're struggling.

I get so frustrated when people complain about this for so many reasons. First, you can control when you arrive at your hotel. You're the one who buys the plane tickets or decides when you leave your house for the road trip. You can easily plan to get to the hotel after check-in if that's so important to you! Also, it's 2026. I haven't been to a hotel that won't hold your bags if you arrive before check-in in all of my years of going to hotels of all sorts. I promise that getting lunch while you wait for your room to be cleaned is not the end of the world.
Hotels have you check in in the afternoon and check out in the morning because the primary function of a hotel room is to be a place to sleep. Hotels would lose a lot of money if they had to skip a night of availability every time someone checked out. Why would they do that just because you don't like waking up early in the morning?
I understand the frustration of not being able to lie down for a couple of hours or take a shower immediately after a long flight, but you should think before you complain about the way that hotels function.

I think that the average hotel guest has no concept of how filthy other people leave their rooms, and how much time it takes to do a full cleaning of tens of hundreds of rooms in a six hour period of time.
