A New Perspective of the Day: A Thought in the Making

A team of Japanese researchers at the National Institute of Genetics has managed to capture the world's first video footage showing how thoughts form in the brain. Using a zebrafish as their test subject, the researchers used a super-sensitive fluorescent probe to detect and record any neuron activity that would become visibly lit up when active. So what you're seeing in this video is the first thought of a zebrafish upon seeing its prey.
