You are getting eepy, very eepy. Now, quick, grab your closest feline friend and take a nap! Do you feel better?

Of course you do! There is nothing better than taking a quick snooze with your favorite fur buddy. Not all cats are cuddlers, but all are definitely nappers. Cats can sleep anywhere from 12 to 16 hours a day! Talk about a cat nap… I wonder where that saying came from: "cat nap." Was it something more profound, or was it because humans saw that cats napped all day? Either way, it makes total sense. Cats like to nap! They are the ultimate bestie to get comfy cozy with. Watching a movie on a rainy night? That's pretty good, but now imagine that with a warm, purring kitten on your lap! See? So much better. Just got home from a long, stressful day of work and want to go brain silent for a bit and doomscroll? Well, do that guilt-free when there is a cat by your side just enjoying their cozy time with you. It's different with dogs. Canine companions are great because when you get home, they straight up run laps around the room because they are so happy to see you! But some people aren't at that level of energy, like some cat people. Some pet parents just want to come home and curl up in a blanket and chill. That's purrrrfect for a cozy kitty! And so are these memes.

  • I have spent much time cozying up with cats, whether they're my cats or a friends. I'm not exactly sure why I'm always the chosen one… Maybe because I'm technically allergic, and cats love to choose chaos. However, I used to be much, much worse with my allergies when I was a kid. Like, my eyes would swell up, my throat would start to close, everything was itchy, and I'd sometimes have to go to the ER. However, now I'm a full-grown adult, and that doesn't happen anymore. I guess I grew out of it? Sure, sometimes my eyes still get a little itchy, but that's about it. Perhaps it was exposure therapy that I forced upon myself, because I never gave up on my love for cats, no matter how hard it got to breathe! And now I can hang out with most cats pretty easy peasy, for the most part. Maybe the cats choosing me are just happy they get a moment with me? Or maybe I have some grade-A Snow White energy going on. If that's the case, heck yeah! Let's go to the safari and pet a lion!

  • If you don't have the ability to curl up and take a cat nap with a cat right now, that's fine. We know how hard it is out there. Your cat probably knows too; they are all wise. So let's just chill out and veg on these sleepy kitty memes instead. That way we can pretend like we're curled up with a cute little kitten and can take the best nap ever. One time I was out of town for a couple of weeks, and when I came home, my roommate's cat, who usually hates everyone, took a nap with me. Well, technically, he took a nap on me; he curled up on my hand, and I couldn't move for hours. That's the law! I was just so excited to have earned his trust. That was a glorious day, even though my hand did go numb for a while there… Still worth it!
