This literally happened to me a few days ago! I was at my boyfriend's house, like I am most weekends, and since I'm me and it was a cool Sunday with not a lot of sun and not much motivation to go outside, I went to take a nap. It was a really good nap, mind you, but while I slept I left my phone in silence. One of my friends was messaging me, asking if I wanted to go to the park with her and walk the dog or something, a chill activity for the weekend. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I woke up like two hours later, at 7pm, with a bunch of unread messages. I was almost embarrassed to tell her that I didn't pick up the phone because I was asleep.

My thoughts exactly! I'm telling you, I'll never understand people who say that taking naps is a waste of time. You're recovering from a long day, resting, giving your body the chance to pause for a little while and reset to function better for the rest of the day. How's that a waste of time? It actually should be mandatory for all people over the age of 20 and under the age of 12. Have you seen a toddler who's tired and hasn't taken their nap yet? They are not nice to watch. There's a reason why our moms made us take a little nap when we were children. I know way too many kids who don't nap, and there comes a time of the day when they become little earthquakes, thrashing every delicate item inther house along with their mom's mental stability. So yeah, put the kids back to sleep, and let's just all take the chance to do it as well!
