Halloween is this weekend! Do you have your costumes ready? And how about your baby's costume?

Planning the perfect costume is a task that takes quite some time, especially when you have little imagination but still want something creative and original. It's even more challenging if you're planning costumes for your whole family. Because costumes should match, but can't be too similar, and they should showcase each one of the family member's personality. Something fun, but spooky enough for trick-or-treating, but not too spooky that will scare the other kids. Yeah, having a family and being a parent during Halloween is not easy. It doesn't stop at the costumes, though. You have to buy an abnormal amount of candy for all the kids who will come to your door, decorate your house in a cool, spooky way, and make sure everybody has a great time. Sounds like a lot of work.

Being a parent in general is not easy, but there are still thousands of people out there giving their best every day to do right by their kids and give them the best childhood fun they deserve. We applaud you for that, parents of the world! You don't only handle Halloween; you handle Thanksgiving, you handle Christmas, and the mountains of presents Santa leaves for the kids (how are those early purchases going?). And most importantly, you handle everyday life and your kid's microcrises. It's true that being a parent is hard sometimes, especially if you're a first time parent who's learning to trust your instincts and read your baby's signals. It's stressful, a lot of work, and at this specific time in history, they need to have a large enough support net to help them through the whole process. Still, even though it's complicated and there are issues sometimes that are hard to solve, being a parent brings you some of the happiest moments of your life. And it can be really fun! One thing I can guarantee you is that you'll never be bored again. And yes, there are moments when it's all fun and games, like with Halloween! Don't you dare tell me that dressing up your baby in a fluffy, cute little costume didn't make you giggle and smile like a fool, because if you do, I won't believe you. While they're still little, babies are like our personal living dolls, and we can dress them up however we want! A princess, a dinosaur, a bear; anything we want! They don't ever complain, and they have a blast during costume fittings while we get to live out our old childhood dreams of choosing our favourite Halloween costumes.

I have a niece who's the happiest child you'll ever meet. She's a little over a year old, and she's absolutely gorgeous. She's always smiling, laughing, walking all over the house, discovering new things, and simply existing in her own little world of wonder. Her parents have some photoshoots done every now and then, and her mom has the best taste in dressing her up. When she was little, it was a little fluffy bunny suit. Now that she's a little older, she puts her in the most beautiful little dresses she can find. The little girl always looks like a princess; we're all happy that we'll have some lovely photos of her for when she grows up. I have no idea what her mom is planning for this year, but I bet it'll be great. And as for you, I hope all these photos work as inspiration, especially if it's your baby's first Halloween.
