What's a 'rich people' thing you tried once and immediately understood why they do it?

tenderourghosts My dad purchased a deep clean of our house while my husband and I were at the hospital after I gave birth. I was in the hospital for an entire week and my husband wanted to stay close by and my dad said he would handle it, so us finally coming home to a spotless house that smelled nice without any clutter was cathartic for me. I literally just had to change into comfy clothes and go snuggle my baby in bed, in clean sheets, in a clean room. The housekeepers even put out fresh flow

If we ever have the budget, I will hire that same company to come out once a month. I don't dislike cleaning, but with how busy we are sometimes the deeper cleans slip by until it's a whole ordeal that we have to clear a day for. The time and clarity you can get back with having professional and respectful housecleaning is bananas.

jawndell Currently on an international first class flight with lie flat seats. I get it. If I had enough money to afford this every single flight, I absolutely would.

sortaplainnonjane Flew private. Our organization has a small place and the pilots have to have a certain number of flight hours per month so we asked to fly to a regional meeting. I parked, walked in, waited for the plane to land, got a short safety briefing, then walked 30 feet to the plane and boarded. No one even checked my ID. | 100% understand why people do this. It was so so nice not to have to deal with airport parking, TSA, or loading a commercial plane (where I always fly cheap af).

CaptainFartHole Part of my job is driving really nice cars. Some of them s k hard but Range Rovers? Lambourghinis? | get it. I would never own any of them because they're a huge waste of money, but i get why people like them.

jess_the_werefox Splurging on an expensive hotel. I always thought it would be a huge waste, since a days inn works just fine as a bedroom to crash at while away from home, and I couldn't fathom what else I could possibly use to make the price worth it. But man, a nice hotel REALLY just parts of traveling in ways I evaporates all the never imagined.

sprinklesadded Custom made clothes. Had a dress made for a special event. Fit me like a glove, looked perfect on me, and felt like a queen. Would get my whole wardrobe custom made if I had them money.

Available_Expression paid movers. when you're an adult, no one wants to throw out their back for a 6 pack and a pizza to help you move.

Gravy_On_Toast My very wealthy aunt and uncle took me and my husband on an all day VIP tour of Disneyland. It was amazing and at the same time ruined the normal theme park experience for me.

thoroughbredftw Hiring a private driver from airport to destination in Greece. He was there, on time, helped with bags, then functioned as a very knowledgeable tour guide for several hours. Gave us snacks and stopped for coffees at his favorite truck stop tavernas. Played music of our choice. Showed us photos of his children. Discussed philosophy. Grew quiet when we seemed tired. I'm still his friend on FB. Traveling like this is so different and pretty heavenly compared to finding the right bus

XNotByALongShotX I bought vip packages to a music festival. Was like $10 a person extra with access to private lounge and things. I only did it for the great access bathrooms. That alone was easily worth it to me.

DenizSaintJuke Not working. It's amazing. Sadly, not being part of the owning class, that pleasure tends to be cut short by material reality.

Responsible-Tie-4373 Ordering groceries that arrive pre chopped, pre washed, and neatly portioned. I laughed at the price tag once, tried it during a burnout week, and instantly understood. It's not buying food it's buying back two hours of your Sunday so you don't spend it crying over a cutting board.

SinCityDimes Living in a luxury high rise. My old place overlooked the Las Vegas strip. Valet would bring up my groceries and park my car. Trash just went down a s ot in the hallway. Had limos and Range Rovers to drive us if we wanted to go out. Full gym with personal trainers. Theater room, game room, pool, cabanas, dog park. Coffee and snacks in the lobby, concierge service, dry cleaning. Everything about the little parts of life was made easy for you.

SamlamGreenEggsNoHam Was on a personal wellness journey and I decided that I deserved something more than the $20 cut from Bestcuts, and I literally googled "most expensive men's salon near me". That was 7 years ago and I haven't been anywhere else since. Just there. It's basically a top-tier haircut blended with a face/neck/scalp massage, drinks, snacks, and seriously skilled staff who give the best style advice. I firmly believe that men should spring for the experience if they can afford it.
