First of all, I have to say that getting six happy years with a cat you adopted at 13 years of age is amazing. It gives me hope, personally. My cat, the one and only cat that I have had in my entire life, is nearly 12 years old now, and I spend basically every day worrying about her, even though she's behaving perfectly normally. I can't help it. 11 and a half just feels so grown already. And I know that not all cats get even that time. But when you adopt one at this age, I imagine you how for as much as possible, as long as you can have with them. And six years is amazing for a 13-year-old, even though I'm sure that it felt like much less.

Kevin definitely sent you these little guys. Couldn't have been anything else. He knew how much you missed him, how big of a void there was after he had to go, and he knew that him ruling your house with an iron paw is what kept the walls up all these years. You cannot do this life thing without a cat overlord. And since he knew that one can would never live up to the standards set by him, he sent two. It was the only right thing to do. He basically saved your life. We're sure he's gloating up there, over the rainbow bridge.
