Perhaps some of you don't know this, but pigs can be just as affectionate as cats and dogs! If you raise them from when they are babies and they get used to being around humans, they become really attached ot them and can be so clingy! They love pets and cuddles as much as your regular puppy. They can be trained and even learn a few tricks! It's lovely to have them, but they also have special needs. Taking care of them long term can be tricky, so before getting one, we all must make sure they have enough space to grow and make sure we can take care of them to be happy and healthy!
When my mom was a child, she and her siblings had a pet pig. No worries, they had a large backyard and enough plants and grass for the pig to have the chance to be in contact with nature. He was all pink and soft and loved to play around with the kids. During the summer, they played with him, running around the garden, siblings chasing each other with the water hose, the pig included in the summer diversion and getting as soaked as the children. It's one of my mom's favourite childhood memories.

It happens a lot with pets that they choose one of their humans as their own, no matter if they are the ones actually taking care of them or not. For instance, it happens to me with my cat. I'm the one who feeds her, takes her to the vet, buys her food, cleans her litter box, and generally, the one who takes care of her. But none of that matters because she chose my dad. Every time he sits on the couch, she goes to him, sits on his lap, and starts purring. She used to do the same with me when she first got here, but at some point along the road, she decided that I was no longer worthy of it. I still love her and take care of her like always, but I can't help but feel a little abandoned sometimes. I guess I'll just have to wait until she's willing to come back to me. So yeah, I perfectly understand this guy's wife and how that girl goes after him instead of her. For the record, little pets, we also want your cuddles.
