When you look at something in your home, you could start to wonder, why is it built the way it's built? Why are faucets usually squared, and why are stairs shaped like rectangles? These are the types of questions that come when you’re really bored or really trapped in a procrastination loop. As it turns out, everything has a reason. Every design decision has years and years of trial and error behind its recent shape, and it turns out architects, designers, and builders actually know what’s up. I’ll take this opportunity to thank them profoundly for all their hard work and devotion. For them, this list is also a very extensive job opportunity.

Funny part is, some of these were actually designed by professionals; so don’t feel bad when the DIY project you attempted this fall looks like it came out of a horror film. Also, I do appreciate the creativity behind these. A lot of these designs might not be exactly functional, but they are fun to see, and it does make me feel better about my own skills.
