This little guy kept showing near my house with his family & progressively got worse within days, he was quite friendly unlike the rest of them so I became fond

Then it turned out to be a bunch of issues from mycoplasma to calicivirus, eye nfect on which required him to be in quarantine as I already have a senior cat

(15+yo) so for the next month I had to give him 12 meds daily spread through the day and wash my hands and change clothes every visit, it gave me co id after flashbacks

Thankfully he was so easy to handle and took all those meds, syrups, eyecreams like a little champ and didnt fight me. At some point things went downhill

and he developed sores on his tongue and wouldn't eat so he had to be hospitalised for 3 days with IV, genuinely thought we will lose him at that point because he was skin and bones around 800g

at 4 months. At the same time the other kittens/mom outside vanished and it turned out someone poisoned them so at that point he had no one and was actively fading himself.

With everything going downhill I was spiralling because I was already emotionally invested, had spent a large sum of money I did. not plan a kitten I wasnt sure I

could even keep and felt immensely guilty for his family that I couldn't help. Then the next day I get a text from his vet saying he's eating!

The next months went by fast, altough painfully because he continued to be in quarantine and take so many meds, vitamins, creams. I still had to wash and

change after each visit even after his vaccines were done for a while just to be safe that I dont bring them to my senior lady.

Now it has been 4 months since I got him and still working on them getting along, so he lives in semi quarantine where he has access to 2 rooms and supervised visits

in the rest, it has been both exhausting and rewarding as I did not plan to get a kitten at all but he decided to land in my world and teach me a lesson about strength and courage in the face of illness and loss.
