Scotty is a scruffy little rescue that TikToker Lisa Mattuchio adopted in 2019. The senior dog was blind from cataracts but was instantly the goof ball in the home's pack. The animal family of senior dogs has already been Internet famous due to their late brother Eddie—another small scruffy boy, but without the function of his back legs. This handicap pup inspired his fans and always spread the love. Though his loss in 2021 was heartbreaking to many, his brother Scotty helps his memory live on by also bringing lots of love to their viewers.

Cataracts in dogs usually gets worse with age and isn't found until the dog has gone almost totally blind and is bumping into their surroundings. Scotty is the newest addition to the Mattuchio family and was already blind when adopted. But dog mom Mattuchio is no stranger to reaching out for medical help for her dogs, and now Scotty can see again. Recently, she took him in for cataract surgery and now that he can see again, he's been exploring everything he can.

Since his surgery, Scotty is soaking up everything he can see. His mom has him exploring every room in his environment, he loves staring out the car window, and even watching TV. She posts videos of him seeing things he loves for the first time like his toys, his pack, and even seeing his mom for the first time. It's absolutely wholesome and his fans—and fans of his brother Eddie—are feeling extra proud for him.

Scotty isn't the only one in the pack who has eye problems. His sweet sister Holly, who was adopted in 2018, recently started to go blind. Though Scotty is the pack clown, Holly is the pack sweetheart and just loves to be included. She'll sit there staring into nothing with her tail wagging thinking she's saying hi to mom.

It's not easy taking in senior dogs, not because of the extra medical attention they tend to need, but because of the short amount of time you will get to spend with them. Only a strong person with a big heart can handle adopting senior dogs and Mattuchio seems to be the angel of a person.
